I come into contact with a lot of parents struggling with infertility, secondary infertility and traumatic births. It’s hard, and I’m only experiencing it second-hand. I have so much love and admiration for couples that endure the heartbreak of these issues. The one positive with all of this is rainbow babies.

A rainbow baby is a baby born after stillbirth, miscarriage or the death of a baby. The name “rainbow baby” stems from the idea that after the darkness of a storm, there comes a rainbow. Rainbow babies signify light and love after a really, really difficult time.

Beautiful Maudette here, and her big sister…when I tell you her parents have been through it, they have been through it. I feel so honored to have been able to capture both of their girls as newborns, and through the years. I hope you enjoy just a few images of this gorgeous girl who absolutely rocked her newborn session.
