Baby Milestone Sessions, Not Just for One Year Olds! | Loudoun County Baby Photographer

When you think about baby milestone photos, you probably think about a one year old baby smashing his or her very first cake. And you would be right, the majority of milestone photo sessions are one year cake smashes, and for good reason, they’re adorable! But do you know what other age is amazing for a milestone session? 3 months, 4 months, 5 months, 6 months….you see where I’m going.

Every stage of babyhood is just the best, and I love getting to document each and every stage. It’s so fun when babies start being able to sit up to get images of them, as they aren’t moving around too much and you can really zero in on those teeny tiny details! Babies personalities are really coming out around this time, and it’s sooooo adorable to capture their silly expressions.

I used my own baby as a model for this session, she was nearly 8 months at the time, and she delivered! Although she is starting to crawl and I had to do a lot of putting her back in the good light! I’m really into simplistic styling lately, which I think brings the focus to the subject, and keeps the images timeless.
